- Can I buy insurance directly from an insurer?
You can buy many life insurance and property-casualty insurance products directly from an insurer without help from any intermediary, i.e brokers or agents. Typically potential policyholders will be contacted by mail, or they can telephone or send email to apply for a product. The advantage of this type of distribution system is that expenses are usually much lower because there are no commissions to be paid. These savings can be passed onto the consumer through lower premiums. The main disadvantage is that the policyholder does not receive as much, or sometimes any, personal service either when buying a product or filing a claim.
- How Online Home Insurance Policy gets delivered?
There will be no physical delivery of policy. Process of buying AWNIC Online Home Insurance is completely online. Your Policy is delivered to Email you will provide at the time of buying policy. If you don’t immediately have access to printer, a copy will also remain in your Membership Area for rest of the period to download and print at your convenience.

- If we have fire will my apartment/villa be covered?
Yes, this is a fire policy, accidental fire will cover your apartment/villa.
- If we have fire will my contents be covered?
Yes, please keep receipts of your contents in safe place, if you don’t have receipts, we will apply market value of each of your content in settlement of your claim.
- What is the difference if I am a tenant or Owner?
If you are tenant, then your policy will cover you for
Value of your contents
Loss and Rent payable(up to 3 months, deductible first 3days)
Alternative Accommodation for one month and maximum payout will be AED10,000
Domestic Employee: Accidental Death or Bodily Injury within UAE
Damage to your household premises, if you were held responsible legally, up to a Maximum of AED1 Million.
For owners who live the property
All of the tenant covers plus
Value of Building
And if you are owner but don’t live in your property, this policy will cover Building Only. If you are owner and you have let your property, it is always worth advising your tenants to buy Home Insurance Policy.
- What is not covered?
An existing Seepage and/or Pollution which existed at the time of purchase of this policy
If you fail to notify us of any accidents in writing(an email will do) within 90 days of its occurrence
Any loss caused by Cyber Activities , computer viruses , misuse of websites etc
Any loss down to Nuclear Risk - Any loss down to Terrorism

- If I want to cancel, how will I get refund?
To get refund, there are basically two conditions you must meet
You are into your Policy for less than 8 Months
You had no claims

- How will this policy cover my Domestic Worker?
AWNIC Home Insurance covers One Domestic worker by default. The coverage includes

- Will I be paid if my home is not livable due to fire?
If you are tenant , then alternative accommodation for one month is allowed, up to a maximum of AED10,000 for the month, plus your payable rent up to 3 months(deductible , first 3days)
If you are owner of your property and it was let at point fire occurred , then loss of your rental income for up to 3 months with a very small deductible
If you are owner and you live in your property, then payment will be to the value of your property plus 10% of Value of your Property will be paid toward your alternative accommodation.
- How you define Contents?
Household goods (furniture and fixtures included) and other articles in the home or its domestic outbuilding or garages owned by any member of your household including motorized gardening equipment.
- What If my circumstances Change?
